MP3 Audio Steganalysis Utilizing both Intrablock and Interblock Correlations (CIHW 2018)

ABSTRACT

A new steganalysis method is proposed based on the poor versatility of many steganalysis methods now. In
this paper, we present an effective feature which utilizes both the intrablock and interblock correlations among
QMDCT coefficients. A 2 × 2 “averaged” block Markov feature is proposed based on the pairwise coding
characteristics of QMDCT coefficients to enhance the intra frame and inter frame transition probability. The features
are trained for steganalysis via SVM. Experimental results show that the proposed steganalysis method has good
detection accuracy and detection performance for various MP3 steganography including MP3Stego, Huffman code
mapping, etc. The detection accuracy is improved by at least 2% compared with the recent steganalysis algorithms
and the accuracy of blind detection is over 90%.
